Judging a vendor on data

Lab results, vouches and history, in that order.

2 min read · updated

Judging a source means rating a vendor on what can be verified, not on marketing. On Ampullen three things live in one place, and they should be read in this order.

1. Lab results

Does the vendor have independent lab tests, and do they hit the label? Look at the average, but also at the spread. A vendor with results from 74 to 128 percent has a quality problem even if the average looks fine. See the vendor list.

2. Vouches

Have real buyers left positive vouches over time, and who are they? Vouches from established members weigh more than vouches from accounts created last week.

3. History

Is the vendor clear of the scam register, and how long has the account been active? A serious source can stand scrutiny and answers criticism in its own thread.

The trust score brings it together

The directory on the forum combines these three factors into a score from 0 to 100, with a hard cap for confirmed scams. The score is a starting point, not a guarantee. Always read the details behind the number.

The market average in the registry is 106.8 percent of label. A vendor far below it stands out for a reason.
